El Refugio has Satellite television, DVD, Telephone/fax and a built –in Barbecue under cover on the top terrace with adjacent dining for ten.
Outside
El Refugio benefits from its prime position. Though surrounded by mature trees to give it privacy, its hillside setting means its catches any breeze on the San Carlos spur. The house is designed for outside life with large spacious terraces virtually surrounding the house meaning sun or shade can be enjoyed throughout the day.

The large swimming pool (10m x 5m) with its generous terrace and the top terrace (75 sq m) leading off the sitting room and kitchen tend however to be the centres of activity. The lawns outside the Annex lead by way of a path and staircases to the fruit tree terraces below the property.

With plentiful parking, cars can get right up to house to offload shopping.
Services
The rental comes with maid service twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays for four hours. The maid is responsible for providing clean linen including bath and hand towels but not swimming towels which guests must provide. She will clean the house but is not responsible for washing up or making beds except on changeover days. There is a gardener/swimming pool attendant who is responsible for the pool; he comes twice a week to clean the pool and check chemicals. There is a house manager who will guide you to the house on arrival, introduce you to the house and equipment, provide a welcome pack, and with an office in the village on telephone call during working hours.

Suitability
Children are welcome but the swimming pool runs from 1.3m to 2.3m in depth but is gated. There is a strict NO SMOKING rule throughout the house and pets are not allowed. The main house is suitable for the elderly and infirm, with the entrance and all doors wheel chair friendly. Excepting one step up at the main entrance and one step down to the main terrace, the main building is all one level. A cook can be provided but arrangements have to be private between tenant and cook.
